my name is sarah, and this is my cooking/eating/writing/reading/fashion/interior design blog.

i love to eat. when i was younger, i smuggled king size reese’s packages from the corner store (i paid!) home in my piano bag and hid the wrappers under my bed. i ate when i was hungry, and when i was mad, sad, frustrated or just plain cranky. food was my savior and my best friend in times when i didn’t think i had either.

these days, my eating habits are a bit healthier, and i’ve learned that i can be my own savior and often, my own best friend – but i never lost my sweet tooth. i started baking in middle school, and when i graduated college and moved out on my own, i developed a true passion for cooking. there’s little i love more than cooking a big meal for people i adore, and this blog’s name is an extension of that.

julia child once said, “people who love to eat are always the best people.” i couldn’t agree more.

but eating isn’t all i do. i also love to write. i read more books than i can count, i devour interior design blogs and shelter magazines like there’s no tomorrow, and i’m a bit addicted to fashion (like most other twenty somethings living in new york city). so there might be a bit of that on here too.

i hope you like what you read, and i’d love to hear from you if you ever feel so inclined to drop me a line.

Hello pretty girl, just a few words to let you know that I read your blog in the past couple of days and that it made me smile. All the good things I remember about the few weeks we spent living together in London have not gone away and there seems to be much more there to discover. If ever in Paris, please let me know, I’d be glad to meet up and show you my beautiful city. And if you ever write a book, rest assured that I will read it and massively advertise it on this side of the globe. Bisous, Elodie (the French girl from Hamstead Hall KCL).
